Hector Charles Auguste Octave Constance Hanoteau (May 25, 1823 – April 7, 1890) was a French landscape painter born in Decize en Nièvre. At the École des Beaux-Arts, he was a student of Gignoux and devoted himself mainly to landscapes, characterized by robust realism and skillful color.
