Description
In 1500, Cranach moved to Vienna, then and now one of the intellectual hotbeds of Europe. There, he practiced his craft and was particularly drawn to portraiture. His work attracted the attention of many well-connected people in Vienna who encouraged him to exhibit and display his artwork.
