Description
This is one of the two outer panels of the predella of the 'Retable of Colonna' painted by Raphael, probably around 1502, for the Franciscan nuns of San Antonio de Padua in Perugia. The main part of the altarpiece, along with a predella panel, is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The other predella panels are in the National Gallery, London, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston.
